Ubuntu in VPS Servers
We provide Ubuntu with all of our VPS plans and depending on what system requirements your web applications have, you will be able to choose the 32-bit or the 64-bit edition of the Operating System with only a couple of mouse clicks throughout the registration process. If you get your server without a hosting Control Panel, the only piece of software which will be installed on top of Ubuntu will be the Apache web server software, so you'll be able to use a console in order to access the website hosting server and to install a software environment of your choice. If you get your server with our Hepsia website hosting Control Panel, you will have a web interface with which you can manage almost everything just as easily as you control an ordinary shared account and all the necessary MySQL, FTP and email server software will be pre-installed, however the root access to the server will be limited. In case you don't have a lot of experience, or if you do not like to waste time on VPS administration procedures, you will be able to take advantage of our Managed Services upgrade, that includes weekly Ubuntu Operating System updates.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
Ubuntu is among the Operating System options which you can find on our registration page when you choose to obtain one of our dedicated web hosting plans. We can install the 32-bit or the 64-bit release, in order to match the system requirements of the applications that you intend to set up on the server. You may also choose the software that will operate on your machine, because we will install only the Apache web server software, so the rest can be customized software of your liking. You'll be able to set up the latter without any problems using a Secure Shell console, because you'll get root-level access and you'll get full control of your hosting server. You can install a hosting Control Panel as well and manage some things from a graphical interface, as long as it can function on an Ubuntu-driven machine. To make things simpler, we also supply a Managed Services upgrade, that, among other things, features OS updates.
